WHAT IS THIS SHOW ABOUT?
The Sheroes of Comedy is a nationally touring quartet of African-American women who are in no way stereotypical. At a time when the nation’s first lady is “a sistah,” it’s time for the country to see another slice of black female life- a positive one.

Sheroes are a “new breed” of black female comedy. They are not yelling, rapping, obliterating the English language, falling on the floor, or being vulgar. They stand flat-footed in front of a microphone and make audiences roar.

The Sheroes are Alycia Cooper, Tracey Ashley, Leighann Lord and Retta: four headlining comediennes, who have all made names for themselves for more than a decade as individuals. You have seen them on Comedy Central, NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, Comics Unleashed, TVLAND, HBO Def Comedy All Star Jam, and ABC’s The View, to name a few. They also work colleges and clubs across the country and abroad. The tone of the show is sexy, sassy, smart, and insightful, and the chemistry between the girls is undeniable.
